Mexico City
We flew into Mexico City with excitement in our bellies, for we were returning to Latin America. We spent one month here in total, developing our cultural understanding, watching pepole throw each other around a ring and savouring plenty of fine beer/tequilla/mezcal and anything else that was offered.

We saw a total of 15 weddings on one day. It was like a converyor belt of matrimony in some churches. |
|
We were the back up wrestelers. Sadly, we stayed in the stands and missed the midgets and women who only wrestle at the weekend. |
|
Father Christmas in a grump over not being able to sell his wares in the park (shouldn't he be giving them for free?). |

Richard and food. |

Fancy food with friends.
Puebla and Oaxaca
The ruins near by. We saw so many though, I have forgotten which ones these are...
The oldest and biggest tree in the world.
The very unique design at the Mayan ruins of Mitla.
Richard had to get his hair cut before we partied with Russell.
Tuxla Gutirrez
Our first night in Tuxla. A sign of things to come.
Mexicans have their big Cristmas dinner on Cristmas Eve. Russell's mum invited us over to share the meal with about 40 of the family. It was a great evening and we had several pinatas.
After dinner with the folks, we went with Luis to Veronica's house to karaoke at full voume until 6am on Christmas Day.
Christmas Day was a write off until the afternoon, at which point, we decided to drive to San Cristobal. Russell's friend had a triple room available at her hostel, and off we went. Norma met us and we went clubbing - very surreal on Christams Day.
Another party we were invited to. This Notena band sang very dirty song and got paid per song. The host just rang them on a whim and along they came...
Russell's friend's hotel - amazing.
We went to Copitan with Russell's friends Claudia and Fernando. Fernando had become the director of a new science museum for children. We got an invite to the openinig day, parties, food, drink etc. The governor of Chiapas was coming to officially open it. We waited and waited...he never came. Then he didn't come the next day, or the next day.
Lunch with Erika, her sister and mum.
